About Bryn Parry Sculpture
Bryn Parry, country cartoonist, author and Co-founder of the charity Help for Heroes, has taken up sculpture.
In March 2017, after stepping down as CEO of Help for Heroes, Bryn began to sculpt. He found learning to work in 3D and in a new medium, extremely exciting and has spent months studying under established sculptors including Andrew Sinclair, Mark Richards, Simon Gudgeon and Vivien Mallock.
His recent work includes several bronze portraits and a silver piece, ‘Four Lions’ for the Adjutant General’s Corps. His cathartic piece ‘Looking Forward’, a study of Simon Brown who was shot through the face in 2006, won the Sculpture Prize in the Armed Forces Art Society’s Articles of War exhibition in Glasgow.
Bryn is working on a series of cartoon sculptures which will be available from later in 2018. He is accepting commissions for his sculpture portraits.
